Born in Ottawa, Canda and brought up in Vancover Sarah began acting at a young age. She took to the stage at 8 years of age and then moved on to Television roles. Her biggest break at a young age came when she got the part of
Becky Conner in the U.S program
"Roseanne" in 1993.
Scrubs
Sarah is perhaps best known for her character Elliot Reid in the popular American hospital sitcom Scrubs, which shows the lives of four medical students as they venture into hospital life. Elliot is clever and bright. She delights in competition with the other staff at the hospital. She's adapted to fit in well with both colleges and patients and gets caught up in many of the comedic scenes in the show.
Movies
Sarah has also made it onto the big screen. Her fist feature length movie is to be release in 2005. "Cake" sees Sarah star alongside
Heather Graham and Taye Diggs. Sarah has also filmed another movie. "Alchemy", a comedy film, sees her star alongside Tom Cavanagh and Illeana Douglas.
Relationships
Whilst Sarah's private life has received limited media coverage it was annouced in 2007 that she was engaged to her longtime boyfriend James Affi, a fact which was confirmed by Sarah in several television and magazine interviews.
Leisure
In her free time, Sarah enjoys cooking with friends, playing the guitar, hiking, snowboarding, and skiing (she is an instructor). She also speaks French and German fluently (which she has demonstrated in episodes of Scrubs) and volunteers at a childrens hospice.
